Williams lobbied a few of our Tshwane councillors to assist R26bn tender

PRETORIA – The African Nationwide Congress (ANC) on Thursday mentioned Tshwane Mayor Randall Williams lobbied a few of its councillors to assist a R26 billion unsolicited tender for the refurbishment of two energy stations.

The celebration has accused Williams of getting sinister intentions and of express corruption for championing the tender and interfering with procurement processes.

A recording has surfaced the place somebody who seems like Williams might be heard instructing officers to permit the unsolicited bid to undergo in contravention of the Municipal Finance Administration Act – mentioned ActionSA.

ActionSA nationwide chairman Michael Beaumont mentioned, on Thursday 11 August, DA councillors and Williams met with ANC and Financial Freedom Fighters (EFF) councillors to solicit their assist for the R26 billion tender.

“I’m sure when you as journalist approached them [ANC and EFF] on this matter to substantiate if the assembly passed off and what the aim of the assembly was.”

That allegation has now been corroborated by ANC Tshwane chairperson George Matjila.

Matjila mentioned they are going to be partaking different events in council to assist a movement of no confidence towards Williams.
