JOHANNESBURG – The Fee for Gender Equality says the Western Cape’s newly elected municipal mayor and convicted little one rapist Jeffrey Donson should urgently be faraway from workplace.
The Fee has launched an investigation into how Donson was allowed to face for workplace once more.
Donson was convicted of statutory rape and indecent assault of a 15-year-old whereas mayor in Kannaland in 2008.
His five-year sentence was later diminished to a suspended time period of imprisonment, correctional supervision, a R20,000 superb and rehabilitation for intercourse offenders.
He was voted in by a majority ICOSA and ANC council vote throughout their first assembly earlier this week.
Spokesperson Javu Baloyi stated simply 20 days after the elections, the appointment of a kid rapist into workplace was a slap within the face for voters.
Baloyi stated the message this despatched to Donson’s sufferer, and each different survivor, was that rapists can be supported to thrive no matter their crimes.
