Ras Kwame is a British musician, report producer, radio DJ and presenter. He began within the music business as a membership DJ enjoying hip hop, R&B and reggae within the early Nineteen Nineties. Throughout that point, Kwame took management of the turntables for artists reminiscent of Gang Starr, Public Enemy, Wu Tang Clan, London Posse and the Fugees.

Kwame’s manufacturing work through his M-Dubs (UK Storage) and Orange Hill (Dancehall and Reggae) monikers has seen fruitful collaborations with the likes of Kano, Vybz Kartel, Sneakbo, George The Poet, Busta Rhymes, Busy Sign, Tyga, Demarco, Lisa Mercedez, Fatman Scoop, Mr Eazi, Stylo G, RDX and Cecile, through the years.

 

With a radio profession that’s taken in prolonged stints with BBC 1Xtra (100% Homegrown – 2001 – 2011) and BBC Radio 1 (Ras Kwame on Radio 1 – 2005 – 2013), succeeding the legendary broadcaster John Peel’s present on BBC Radio 1, Ras at present presents his new present model ‘The Reggae Recipe’ on Sunday nights on Globals’ Capital Xtra that includes the freshest dancehall and reggae with visitor mixes and interviews with established and rising abilities and personalities on the scene, everyone loves a little bit of reggae!
