Gross earnings paid to staff decreased by R28,2 billion or -3,4% from R827,3 billion in December 2021 to R799,1 billion in March 2022.

Masupye explains that full-time employment refers to those that work 40 hours or extra per week.
People who find themselves registered as part-time staff work lower than 40 hours.
The variety of full-time staff stands at 8-million 881-thousand (8 881 000) and for part-timers it’s
1-million 223-thousand (1 223 000).
Trying on the quarterly and yearly motion, each full-time and part-time registered a rise… for full-time a rise of 1 000 quarter-on-quarter, and y/y a rise of 80 000.
