NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal finally got served in the class action lawsuit against him, and other athletes such as Stephen Curry and Tom Brady, over the FTX collapse. He reportedly dodged several attempts by Moskowitz Law Firm to give him the legal documents.
O’Neal, 51, received the papers while at Kaseya Center — formerly known as FTX Arena — for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals between Miami Heat and Boston Celtics.

He was there as part of the NBA on TNT broadcast, during which he blamed Curry for getting him “in trouble,” likely regarding FTX.
Curry, 35, was the main reason why O’Neal endorsed FTX in the first place, so there might be some truth behind Shaq’s joking.
“Steph, I don’t have a question,” O’Neal said. “We know where you come from: Your father is a class act, your mother is a class act – her and my mother are friends, they speak highly of you. I speak highly of you. You’re my favorite player. I just want to say, congratulations, my brother, and thanks for getting me in trouble. Don’t say nothing. Be quiet.”
Shaq removes process server from FTX Arena
Charles Barkley quickly changed the subject to golf as Curry couldn’t help but laugh.
Shaq reportedly had the process server removed from the arena after getting served, according to Moskowitz, the law firm representing FTX users.
One process server claimed to have thrown the legal documents at O’Neal’s moving car last month. Shaq made it nearly impossible to get served despite being live on television every other day.
He also tried to get the suit against him dismissed on grounds that plantiffs missed the deadline to serve him.
