Patrick Mahomes‘ family hasn’t beenthrough the best of times after the Kansas City Chiefs won the latest Super Bowl at the start of 2023. There have been a number of unfortunate events that have taken the Mahomes family through the ringer. Patrick’s success is one of the reasons they have to keep smiling despite all the hardships but they have truly struggled. For starters, Patrick’s mother lost her mom on April 5. Her name was Debbie Bates Martin and she had been struggling with health problems for months. She was 72 years old and Randi Mahomes has been through some rough moments after her mother-s passing. But this has been only the start of the issues as his wife has also been targeted by online bullies.
Patrick Mahomes comes out in defense of Brittany Mahomes
Many online users have started to take aim at Brittany Mahomes, Patrick Mahomes‘ wife with whom he shares two kids. They haven’t hesitated to call her a ‘gold digger’ online and unleash Patrick’s wrath. Brittany herself had to come out and defend herself from these accusations but this goes to show how much of a disconnect there is between Patrick Mahomes and his fan base. If they don’t even respect his wife, there will be nothing off limits for them. As a result of this very public attack, Brittany Mahomes has already opened up about mental health issues that have only gotten worse with these situations. Then there is Jackson Mahomes…
Patrick Mahomes‘ little brother was already in trouble before the Super Bowl, he has been heavily criticized for not having a clear career path. Unlike his brother, Jackson has been trying his luck as a social media influencer but he has gotten into serious trouble recently. After Wednesday’s recent legal issues for being arrested over aggravated sexual battery, this marks the second time Jackson Mahomes is accused of something similar. Amid all these issues, everybody wonders if any of this will affect Patrick Mahomes at the start of the new NFL season that is coming next summer. If he continues playing at the same level despite all of this, the Chiefs’ QB will prove why he is such a respected player amongst his peers.
