Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James accidentally gave referee Scott Foster a bloody lip when he crashed into the official during the fourth quarter of a Game 3 loss to the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference finals on Saturday at Crypto.com Arena.
James, 38, quickly turned around for a fast break on offense and crashed into Foster, who seemingly got scratched by his whistle.
The game stopped to check on the crew chief, who was able to return to the floor, but not before a hilarious interaction with James.
Foster, 56, had to tell James to relax when he was adamant about it being an accident. He then joked that the Lakers player had been waiting “25 years” to do that.
Austin Reaves also joked that James should have received a technical. The King didn’t find it amusing and continued to plead his case.
