Kyrie Irving has had his fari share of controversies throughout his career, he has been constantly scrutinized for many of his actions. That’s about as far as comparisons between he and Ja Morant can go. Irving has never been a particularly violent person, he’s always done his best in order to promote peace and healthy interactions. Morant‘s constant problems have been addressed by Kyrie Irving in the past, but all he did was ask people to lay off his back. Irving wanted people to stop judging the young star and allow him to reach that level of maturity he clearly lacks right now. But today, Irving did touch on a more sensitive aspect of Ja Morant’s problems that points to his parents.
For Kyrie Irving, Ja Morant’s main issues happen because he lacks the family time he needs in order to feel more protected. This has been proven to be true, although many are not as fortunate as Irving has been. Not everybody gets a chance to have a family that takes care of them and nurtures them in order to avoid spending time with acquaintances who are not beneficial for them. Ja Morant’s biggest problem has been the alleged friends who surround him, which is a symptom of this lack of family time Kyrie Irving keeps talking about. Even if it wasn’t his intention, Kyrie is basically saying that Ja Morant doesn’t have responsible parents.
What did Kyrie Irving say about Ja Morant?
It all happened during one of those Instagram live streams Kyrie Irving does sometimes. He was asked about Ja Morant’s situation in the comments and decided to address it in public. As far as the content of his comments, we will let you decide if you side with Irving’s philosophy or not. We do repeat that not everybody is as lucky to have a caring family as Kyrie, but this is what he said: “Whatever color you are, whatever creed, whatever religion you are, a lot of us need nurturing… We need to normalize family time, taking off the veil of technology. Stop letting technology control your f*cking mind. Stop letting this sh*t do that. Go out in the sun, ground yourself. Learn what peace and mind actually means and pray to god.”
