International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the socio-economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. This year’s theme is  “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”.

The United Nations Observance of IWD recognizes and celebrates women and girls who are championing the advancement of transformative technology and digital education.

As part of our core values at Prime Business Africa (PBA), we celebrate International Women’s Day 2023 by highlighting some outstanding women who made our front page in recent times.

 At the age of 70, Mrs Justina Nwamalubia Obi bagged her PhD at the University of Nigeria Nsukka and was among the 3000 graduates decorated with higher degrees on Saturday, June 12, 2021.

 PBA’s  list of world’s ’20 richest women’ serves to show that stupendous wealth is not exclusive to men; women are good billionaires as well. Many of these women attained billionaire status either by inheriting fortunes and adding more, or by creating wealth from the scratch..

Forbes Magazine had in its publication of April 2022, listed 2668 women billionaires. It stated that 327 of the women were worth a collective $1.56 trillion, up from $1.53 trillion in 2021, adding that 10 richest among them were worth $401 billion.
