East Africa: Two Die, Others Rescued As Vessel Capsizes in Lake Victoria
Two fishermen died, two others rescued at Bunyorwa in Busega District, Simiyu Area after their canoe capsized in Lake Victoria.
In response to an announcement launched by the Simiyu Regional Police Commander ACP Bladius Chatanda, the accident occurred on September 18, 2022 round 8pm, when the 2 have been fishing.
He named the deceased as Ntambi Swilila (32) and Deus Ntandila (56).
Explaining the supply of the accident, ACP Chatanda mentioned: “They have been drowned after their vessel hit by a robust wind earlier than it capsized.”
He added that their our bodies have been found on September 20, 2022 afternoon.
“Our bodies have been discovered floating on the Our bodies recovered from water and have been taken for medical examination earlier than being handed over to their kinfolk for the burial,” the regional Police boss added.
