ADB adjudged greatest cocoa financing establishment
The Agricultural Growth Financial institution Restricted (ADB) has been adjudged the most effective Cocoa Financing Establishment of the 12 months on the Ghana Cocoa Awards (GCA).
The award was in recognition of the financial institution’s contribution in the direction of offering Licensed Shopping for Firms (LBCs) and native farmers with monetary help to buy cocoa and taking banking nearer to cocoa farmers within the nation.
On the third version of the awards held in Accra, 37 establishments and people have been recognised and celebrated for his or her contribution to the cocoa trade.
The ADB Deputy Managing Director, Mr Alhassan Yakubu-Tali, stated the award was a recognition of the Financial institution’s steady help to the cocoa sector and pledged the dedication of the Financial institution to proceed granting Licensed Shopping for Firms (LBCs) monetary help to purchase from native farmers.
“ADB will proceed to finance cocoa, by offering monetary help to Licensed Shopping for Firms (LBC) engaged within the buy of the money crop and that may also translate into help for farmers,” Mr Yakubu-Tali stated,
“We dedicate this award to our hardworking cocoa farmers and clients throughout the cocoa worth chain, who’ve achieved enterprise with us,” he stated.
He lauded the organisers of the GCA, saying the awards scheme was related in recognising the hardworking actors and heroes of Ghana’s financial spine.
